David Castro is a Project Manager with the Cunningham Group. He is also a formally trained architect and LEED Accredited Professional with significant architectural experience. Having gained his Master of Architecture from the University of Miami and winning the Henry Adams Certificate for being second in his class, he is a proven scholar. He is a highly proficient, detail oriented building professional with demonstrated experience in educational design, public sector architecture, field commissioning, interior design and master planning.
David’s career has given him experience on more than 1,000,000 square feet of built space. He has been fortunate enough to conceptualize a 152 acre master plan; spearhead green initiatives and work on design/build projects. His skills have been recognized by his peers and he has placed as an emerging designer in architectural competitions.
Additionally, he has intimately participated in the development of prototype educational institutions that have been utilized throughout Florida. He has worked for a leading South Florida architecture firm, gaining experience in the design and implementation of construction on large and significant projects. He independently consulted with major contractors to complete the as-built documentation for Palm Beach International Airport Concourse A, B, and C remodel and expansion, and he significantly influenced the design of award winning secondary schools projects.
Mr. Castro is a member of Alpha Rho Chi National Professional Fraternity, the National Organization of Minority Architects, the American Institute of Architects and an avid participant in many community outreach programs.
