Public Involvement Specialist
Jim Martin is a leader in transportation outreach, public meetings, media and government relations in Orlando and throughout Central Florida. Over the past five years, Jim has worked on every major Interstate 4 construction project, including the St. Johns River Bridge Replacement, the John Young Parkway Interchange and the Interim I-4 and SR 408 Interchange construction, the largest Orlando highway project in decade.
Jim worked with the Florida Department of Transportation District 5 office for 12 years as government relations manger and liaison to METROPLAN Orlando and the Volusia County Metropolitan Planning Organization. He has assisted in the creation of regional long-range transportation plans and the development of project implementation strategies. Jim has also managed community outreach initiatives for the installation of noise walls, bike lanes and trails, and the interstate master plan. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Orange County School Board in Orlando, Florida.
